BFL voelt met zijn 21 micron iets ruwer aan, maar omdat de wol erg lang is is BFL heel aangenaam om te spinnen. Je kan deze wolsoort dus goed gebruiken voor kleding of accessoires die niet direct op de huid gedragen worden.
In vilt, maar ook in weefwerk, is BFL een heel dankbare wolsoort.
Ook om te kleuren met plantaardige of andere kleurstoffen is deze witte BFL natuurlijk ook erg geschikt.
